The Mission of The Salon Professional School of Cosmetology is to prepare students for a world-class workforce through skilled training and licensure preparation in cosmetology, barbering, manicuring and esthetics programs. We incorporate employ-ability and leadership skills with business and industry relationships while being a service to our community. We curate salon ready professionals!
Our Programs
My experience at Salon Pro can only be described as a Divine Intervention. Becoming a student was nothing short of amazing. Through Salon Pro, I’ve learned not only the knowledge but the proper skills on how to be successful AND professional in this industry. The small class sizes created a safe space for me to open up and really be vulnerable about my struggles and fears of cosmetology while receiving the attention and encouragement needed to build my confidence. When you enroll in Salon Pro you become family. The opportunities afforded to me through the school have opened up my view on the industry and pushed me to look beyond the chair. Overall I highly recommend this school and give it a solid 10/10.

WHO WE ARE
The Salon Professional School of Cosmetology was founded in 2020 by Detroit native Kanika Free
Since the age of 7, Kanika knew she wanted to have three careers in life: teaching, hairstyling, and to become a mail carrier; yes, a mail carrier. She went to college, got a degree in Social Work and at the same time enrolled in Cosmetology school where I discovered I could teach Cosmetology. How cool is that?
